Description

The Alhambra 8Fc Blanca Flamenco Guitar is a flamenco blanca guitar, handmade in Spain with carefully selected woods and a high quality sound; powerful, brilliant, great character and with a fascinating projection.  The 8Fc is a wonderful guitar with a beautiful and authentically flamenco sound. It is also fully balanced, achieving a consistent tone across the fingerboard and a good balance between bass and treble. (Click here to hear the pronunciation of "Alhambra".)

The 8Fc is a flamenco blanca guitar with very high performance. When you have it in your hands it is simply amazing.

Selected Woods and New Design

The new flamenco guitar 8Fc is a step forward from the 7Fc model, with a better selection of wood, new rosette, and a new headstock design.  In addition to the selection of solid cypress for sides and back and a solid European spruce for the top; this guitar is made with an ebony fingerboard, luxury gold machine heads, and an ebony reinforcement on the cedar neck.  (The ebony reinforcement which is found inside the neck it cannot be seen on the outside of the guitar. The ebony reinforcement is exactly below the fingerboard and the saddle should be removed to be able to see it.)

An Extra Saddle:

In order to adapt the instrument to the tastes of each guitarist, in the 8Fc model you can vary the action of the strings changing the "bone" of the bridge, the saddle.  In the model 8Fc, an extra saddle with different height is added, with the intention of getting a low or somewhat higher action according to the choice of the guitarist, but always being fully adapted to the characteristics of guitar.

The 8Fc is a guitar designed to generate the exact flamenco percussiveness when it is required and to allow for greater comfort in the interpretation of flamenco music.

Alhambra 8FC Flamenco Guitar

The Alhambra 8FC Flamenco Guitar represents the authentic sound of Spain, crafted with traditional methods by skilled luthiers at the renowned Alhambra workshop. This flamenco guitar delivers the distinctive bright, percussive sound that defines genuine flamenco music.

Spanish Heritage and Craftsmanship

Handcrafted in Spain, the Alhambra 8FC continues a centuries-old tradition of guitar making. Each instrument reflects generations of expertise, with meticulous attention to the specific needs of flamenco performers. The 8FC model balances traditional design with modern reliability, making it suitable for both professional performances and serious study.

Premium Tonewoods

The Alhambra 8FC features a solid European spruce top that provides the sharp attack and quick response essential for flamenco playing. The solid cypress back and sides contribute to the bright, percussive character that distinguishes flamenco guitars from classical models. This combination of woods creates a guitar with excellent projection and the characteristic "raspy" quality flamenco players seek.

Traditional Flamenco Design

True to flamenco tradition, the 8FC features a slightly thinner body and lower action than classical guitars, allowing for faster playing and the percussive techniques that define the flamenco style. The guitar includes a clear golpeador (tap plate) that protects the top while enabling the distinctive percussive tapping techniques essential to flamenco performance. The guitar's nitrocellulose lacquer finish enhances resonance while protecting the beautiful tonewoods.

Responsive Playing Experience

Flamenco guitarists will appreciate the 8FC's quick response and expressive capabilities. The guitar's design facilitates rapid passages and intricate falsetas while maintaining clarity in complex rhythmic patterns. The transparent golpeador allows for traditional flamenco percussive techniques without damaging the instrument. Whether you're performing traditional palos like Soleá and Bulería or exploring contemporary flamenco fusion, the 8FC provides the voice your music deserves.

Every Alhambra 8FC at XGuitars receives a comprehensive professional setup. Owner Geoff Ferdón personally inspects and sets up each instrument, ensuring optimal playability and performance.
