NOTE: Suction cups do not work well on non-gloss finishes. If your finish is not smooth and shiny, we highly recommend Sagework Magnetic Guitar Supports. Alternatively, you can affix an adhesive film to your guitar that will allow suction cups to adhere more securely, but these films can cause serious damage to your guitar finish.

This guitar support is so simple that it just works. I love the fact that it's comfortable and adjustable. Works better if you cut a rubber adhesive strip and apply it to the guitar first. The suction cups on the support stick much better to the rubber than to wood. I gave it a one-point deduction the suction cups are so big that the support doesn't work well with a 3/4 size guitar. I'm not sure it would work on a 1/2 size guitar at all. Thus, it may not be the solution for younger players and students on less than full size guitars.
Bought one for my teacher but it looked so nice I had to keep it for myself. I ended up buying my teacher another one with wide strap but he sad it is just two inches, like regular one. So not sure what is wide strap. But my teacher and I love these supports. So comfortable and reliable. Used them during concerts and it never seems to fail. You can count on De Oro. Sometimes it slips but I clean the cups with alcohol and it helps.
I'm quite pleased with my De Oro classical support. I must say that I've come to forget that it is on (no distracting sounds, excellent stability, etc). I feels organic: my guitar seems to respond naturally to my body movements.
I have an De Oro Classical Support two years ago or so. It is the only support that works for me. I use it in practice and concerts without any problems. Originally I was going to order this one as a gift for my guitar teacher. But the gold frame sent to me is so attractive I decided to use it for myself. It is even better than the black frame one I had before in terms of stability, durability. It stays on even better and is so attractive. Now I have to order another one for my teacher.
Actually, I bought this guitar support not for myself but my wife who plays classical guitar and now uses it on her Alhambra. She tells me that it is superb and has revolutionised her playing in so far as she no longer experiences the back ache often associated with playing a classical guitar for an extended period. She would highly recommend it to anyone. So would I as I no longer have to listen to complaints about an aching back.
