Ramirez Estudio 3 Left-Handed Classical Guitar: Spanish Tradition for Left-Handed Players
The Ramirez Estudio 3 Left-Handed Classical Guitar brings the revered Spanish guitar-making tradition to left-handed players. Crafted with the same care and attention as its right-handed counterpart, this instrument offers left-handed guitarists access to the distinctive Ramirez sound that has captivated musicians worldwide for generations.
Authentic Left-Handed Spanish Construction
Unlike adapted or modified guitars, the Estudio 3 Left-Handed model is built from the ground up as a true left-handed instrument. The Madrid workshop carefully mirrors the bracing patterns, soundboard design, and internal architecture to ensure proper string tension and optimal sound production for left-handed playing technique.
This authentic approach to construction means left-handed players experience the full tonal potential and playing comfort that has made Ramirez guitars legendary in the classical guitar world.
The Coveted Ramirez Sound
The Estudio 3 Left-Handed guitar delivers the characteristic Ramirez voice – powerful projection with a balance of bright, singing trebles and deep, resonant basses. The traditional Spanish fan bracing system creates an instrument with excellent sustain and remarkable dynamic range.
Selected tonewoods, including solid tops and quality back and sides, contribute to the instrument's complex voice, offering tonal colors that continue to develop as the instrument matures with playing.
Designed for Left-Handed Comfort
Every aspect of this guitar's ergonomics has been considered from the left-handed player's perspective. The neck profile, string spacing, and action are all calibrated specifically for left-handed technique, allowing for comfortable position shifts and technical facility.
The traditional Spanish heel and carefully shaped neck joint provide excellent access to higher positions, while the overall weight balance and body dimensions create a natural feel for left-handed playing posture.
Professional Quality for Serious Musicians
The Estudio 3 Left-Handed model sits within Ramirez's respected student-professional line, offering exceptional value for serious players. Many conservatory students and performing artists choose the Estudio series for its professional capabilities and traditional Spanish character.
This instrument provides the tonal qualities and responsiveness needed for classical repertoire from all periods, from Renaissance pieces to contemporary compositions, making it suitable for advancing students and professional performers alike.
Part of a Historic Legacy
When you play a Ramirez Estudio 3 Left-Handed guitar, you join a tradition dating back to 1882. The Ramirez family has been instrumental in the evolution of the classical guitar, with their instruments played by legendary musicians including Andrés Segovia.
Each guitar bears the distinctive Ramirez label inside, connecting players to generations of Spanish guitar-making heritage and craftsmanship that continues in their Madrid workshop today.
Refined Aesthetic Details
The Estudio 3 Left-Handed model features the elegant aesthetic elements characteristic of the Ramirez tradition, including the iconic headstock design, quality rosette work, and clean binding. The natural finish highlights the beauty of the selected woods while allowing optimal resonance.
Visual details like the carefully executed purfling and French polish finish reflect the attention to craftsmanship that extends throughout every aspect of the instrument's construction.

Shipping and communication with Geoff was great and I will happily do business with XGuitars again.
I am very much in love with my Ramirez. I'm an intermediate (grade 3) level guitarist who plays mostly classical material. I find this guitar harmonically rich, the trebles sing, the basses are not boomy, present, very balanced. I am able to better replicate what I hear coming from my instructors luthier grade instrument particularly in the upper register. While this guitar isn't as loud as a concert grade instrument, I find tonally and harmonically I prefer the sound of this guitar to many double tops I hear, particularly when playing aggressively -- the bass has a lovely snarl.
Case is your standard acoustic case. Using 5 humidipak's I'm only able to keep it at 42% humidity in a room that hovers at around 32% humidity, so I had to spring for a case with better seal on it. Tuners aren't super fancy but perfectly functional, it might be the one piece I may tweak later in the future. The woods are gorgeous, the top is absolutely perfect. Very bronze cedar with tight straight grains. The finish is glossy, but not overly sticky on the neck. I had never used Ramirez strings before, I'm happy with them. No issues with action, was a standard classical setup.
